I only think it casue at the top of each gear it kinda feels like it is revin more than speeding up. black oil and stock clutch springs suck . i like the yamaha trans gear oil with heavy clutch spring . my oil stays clean and my clutch dont slip unless i feather the clutch. AKheathen Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 lol, change the oil and adjust it first......as it starts to wear, you loose freeplay until it no longer fully engages. get some freeplay back, and it might hold. normally, it's the top gears, or 3rd+ that you will start to notice it slipping, mostly at lower rpm's before you get in the pipe. start with cable slack first, you should be able to feel when the actuator hits. if you can't get that adjusted, then you have to pull the clutch cover and adjust the screw in the pressure plate.
