smzj4 Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 Sorry for the dumb question but when you bore the jugs over do you need to bore the domes as well? Quote
methyman Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 No. Make sure you have the pistons for the bore size with the boxes because they have the clearances written on the box. Quote
Jereme6655 Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 nope....you only bore out the cylinder walls themselves. The best way to do it is to take your cylinders to a shop and have them mic the bore. Then they can tell you what the correct up-sized pistons to buy........most of us here will advise you to purchase wiesco pistons as they are some of the best. THEN BEFORE they bore it.....take them the pistons. This way they can exactly mic the new pistons and then actually bore the cylinders to the correct size. ALSO make sure that they have the knowledge to chamfer the ports so the rings don't snag and break. Quote
