I'm selling my blaster for a banshee, and I've never ridden a banshee before, but I'm great with the blaster so..but anyway, my blaster has massive bottom end for hill climbing and what not, but it's too short and the banshee I'm getting has a extended swing arm. I'm wondering is a banshee good for hill climbing, hole shots, jumping, and just general dicking around like I do with my blaster, also its a 1990 banshee so I know it has the J arms, will they be fine for jumping?

the banshee's are great for alot of things except for the mx track. its is good for everything you listed, except for jumping lol. Their stock suspensions sucks, i recommend you get aftermarket shocks if your going to jump it. It also depends what type of jumps, like smaller ones, it will take, but the bigger ones, your gonna need upgraded suspension

you seem like you know a bit, the banshees gearing (sprocket sizes) I'm getting are stock, hows the bottom end with stock sprockets?

Oh geez! Bottom end on banshees suck. Ride the piss out of it. It will be alot different than your Blaster.

What mods does this thing have?

As far as I know, extended swinger, skid plates if that counts...and thats it. pipes are stock, and reeds are stock (which i plan on changing with the leftover money i have) and it has razor tires on the back.

you can still get a little bit of low end on the banshee with an aggressive mx port and some paul turner pipes, you should get a little, but mostly mid-range to top end is what you will get out of the banshee's. Stock gearing sucks IMO, it depends what you want, more speed or torque, more torque i would go down on the size of the front sproket, and the rear sproket i would go bigger in the teeth, it all depends on your mods

well I mostly hill climb, am I going to just bog out in the middle of the hill from lack of bottom end? Cause one hill we all climb only has a small area to get a running start at, I don't want to flip it.

your not going to flip it lol, if its a stock motor with extended swinger, it will barely wheelie, i mean, just dont rely on the bottom end man, just keep it pinned, and switch through the gears if its a big hill, start out second, if it asks for 3rd give it. They will never climb a hill if you rely on the bottom end, pinning it or keeping it at even 3/4th throttle will work out

You will be fine climbing hills it's just a different ride than the Blaster. It will climb anything you want to. It's just a matter of do you have the balls to climb it. LOL.

Welcome to BHQ !! Banshee and bottom end is an oxymoron. It just ain't happening. I've never driven a two stroke with "bottom" end. They basically have little or none. Been driving/riding smokers since 1970 and none have much ,including a Detroit Diesel.

I know the banshees seat height is 2.4 inches higher than the blasters but, does sitting on a banshee feel much different?

yes, i have had a blaster as well, after getting on the banshee, it felt more bigger and more spread out, IMO the blasters are pretty squished together

when I say bottom end, I dont mean like crazy torque, I mean like does it pull you along pretty decently.

oh yeah, pulls better than the stock blaster, if you just keep it in the low rpm's, but then again, dont hill climb relying on the bottom end
