  1. I'm buying a 1990 Banshee that was rebuilt in 08. No major problems with it, except that the kill switch doesn't work. Was '90 a decent year for the banshees, or should I expected a slew of problems from it being 20 years old?
  2. I've hillclimbed a decent amount on my blaster, but Its flipped a dozen time, and drug me with it half of the time. I'm getting a banshee with a extended axle (balls i know) and razr tires on the back. How will this hillclimb? I want to do the beaverdale hillclimb on my shee when It comes time. Should I look on ebay for a extended swinger? I'm going to have roughly $400-600 left when I buy my banshee. any upgrades that fit into the budget, but would make it good for hillclimbing, and still keep it trail worthy.
  3. ah Ill just stick with the key to kill it, or turning the gas off. I dont know how to crimp wires, etc. etc.
  4. that doesnt really tell me how to connect the wires. I have no wiring experience.
  5. The banshee I'm buying(s) kill switch doesn't work, and I want to replace it with a tether kill switch. I know nothing about wiring, and I slammed my face against the desk trying to read the banshees wiring diagram. Could anyone tell me how to wire up a tether kill switch and remove the broken kill switch.
  6. I don't have any type of credit card. Is there a way to remove TORS without the kit, which I can't get. Is the TORS on the banshee anything like the blasters TORS in terms of removal?
  7. I'm getting a Banshee soon, its not really modded, it only has a extended swinger on it, but I'll fix that. Anyway, my friend has a 01 Blaster that he shoves in my face all the time, and I'm wondering if I could beat him in a race. His blasters got: extended +2 swingarm, Keihin 33mm carb, Vforce3 reeds, Pro Circuit exhaust, ported engine, wiseco piston, K&N filter, 240 big bore kit, and a 3mm crank.
  8. well from what the owner has told me, it was rebuilt in 08 (hopefully rebuilt RIGHT) the killswitch doesn't work, luckily I have experience with wiring, and have been studying on the banshees wiring extensively so that's a easy fix, and the idles so low it wont idle without stalling, but I have a plan to set the idles the same. Other than those little things, its in good condition.
  9. Well yeah, but it seemed like over the stock reeds, it made the powerband hit a bit harder, and it improved fuel economy.
  10. well im getting a deal with my shee. Im buying it for a grand, but selling my blaster for 1300. so I'll have 300 to work with. not counting what I have left after i buy oil, etc. etc.
  11. Well my blaster wasnt stock..it only had Boyesen Power Reeds in it which is what I probably plan on putting on the banshee.
  12. when I say bottom end, I dont mean like crazy torque, I mean like does it pull you along pretty decently.
  13. I know the banshees seat height is 2.4 inches higher than the blasters but, does sitting on a banshee feel much different?
  14. well I mostly hill climb, am I going to just bog out in the middle of the hill from lack of bottom end? Cause one hill we all climb only has a small area to get a running start at, I don't want to flip it.
  15. As far as I know, extended swinger, skid plates if that counts...and thats it. pipes are stock, and reeds are stock (which i plan on changing with the leftover money i have) and it has razor tires on the back.
  16. you seem like you know a bit, the banshees gearing (sprocket sizes) I'm getting are stock, hows the bottom end with stock sprockets?
  17. I'm selling my blaster for a banshee, and I've never ridden a banshee before, but I'm great with the blaster so..but anyway, my blaster has massive bottom end for hill climbing and what not, but it's too short and the banshee I'm getting has a extended swing arm. I'm wondering is a banshee good for hill climbing, hole shots, jumping, and just general dicking around like I do with my blaster, also its a 1990 banshee so I know it has the J arms, will they be fine for jumping?
