Cartkid14 Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 ok so i just had the crank seals replaced along with the tranny pistons etc... i had a professional do all the work. but anyways i put it all back together yesterday and i had it running alright. i noticed it was breaking up during mids and full throttle. so i adjusted the spark plug gap. and it made a little bit of a difference. then i rode it all day today just to break it in and i was letting it idle for a few minutes and i decided to try to adjust the carbs and then i went down the dirt road and all of a suddon it started running like crap so i got it home and it seems to me i have a dead cylinder. i checked compression and i have 115-120. in both and i checked spark and i have plenty. then i checked the carb bowl and it had gas. i can get it to run but will only run on one cylinder. i have no clue what else to do other than maybe clean the carbs. but i have no clue what the stock adjustments are on the carbs so if anyone can help that would be great.. thanks. ARe your spark plug caps on all the way??? Sounds like u tweaked the carb too much.....choking out one side Quote

Sounds like u tweaked the carb too much.....choking out one side thats the other thing. when i pull the choke i can keep it running longer but when i put the choke back in it revs up then dies?? Make sure you have your choke tube connected between the carbs.....you need to sync them as well....make sure the slides are falling and rising at the same time......sounds like they are not........
