I just got some PWK 28's and I don't think the throttle cable I got is the correct one. The slides don't go all the way down with this cable and the idle is back all the way off.

Correct one or not? It's a Motion Pro cable part #01-0813

I installed them and they didn't go all the way down. Pulled them out and had to take the screw driver and push the plastic holder down over the cable end to get it to seat. Works fine now.

Ok guys I got these carbs on and installed. The slides hang up in them and it won't idle below about 3000 rpms. I need some input. The slides had some casting flows on them so I filed them off but they still catch. Now they are smooth. As far as the other problem I have the idle screws backed all the way out but still in and it idles really high. What's the deal here. This is my first set of PWK's and I'm not liking them.

So the slides are good then?

I went through the slides and cleaned up all of the casting burs off of them and they finally started operating smoothly. I can't believe how many casting blemishes are on these carbs. I'll post some pics of the inside of the carbs shortly.
