Installing some 30mm OKO's and it's turning out to be alot more of a challange that I ever would have dreamed. The seller told me they would fit the stock carb/filter boots. Yea, they did after fighting with them for over an hour to get them to streach far enough. Now the fuel line is making me pull my hair out. The lines off stock carbs were too short, so went to local automotive store and got some 1/4" fuel line. Everything connects fine till putting it on the oko's. The nub that the line goes on is so small I cant keep it from leaking. First tried the clips that were on facroty lines, then zip ties, lastly hose clamps, still leaks !! Any other ideas, anyone ??

When i had my 30's i didn't have a problem at all with 1/4" line without any clamps and just a zip tie.

Just heat the lines up so they form to the brass fuel inlet and then use a small clamp or a zip tie tight.

Heat the line up really well though, so its really soft just before melting so it forms a tight seal around the inlet.

Good to go.

I refuse to use reinforced rubber line.I prefer the clear vinyl fuel line.I did not even need clamps on my OKOs,just heated them a bit and jammed them on.The stock boot thing was rough, but fit nice and snug.

You will like those carbs huge improvement over stock. What jets are you running?

I think I'll try & find some of this clear tubing. They came with 160's ( I ran 340-350 mains in the factory carbs ). Thanks for the ideas guys!!

yeh i didnt have any probs with 1/4 lines either, i just ran tiny hose clamps, only probs i had was with the carbs them selves.

160 is a good start point from 350 mains.

Just curious, the broblems you had were they what I have read about on here where something needed drilled out to allow more fuel in ?

no my problem was very specific to a certain rpm and load. (5400rpm, high gear and only at WOT but was good past 6400rpm)

Use small zip ties to take care of where the fuel line meets the brass inlet. Not the kind you find at the hardware store. You need the smaller types usually round in hobby shops that sell nitro/electric r/c cars.

I faught with that also. Only thing that worked was tiny zip ties.

And search my oko thread to learn about the drilling for more fuel.

And make damn sure you set the float height correctly before you even fire the bike up.. That has causes many of us to pull our hair out :(
