Hey guys, heres what I have, its a 472cc,140 compression, ported by M&M ATV,35mm PWK Air strykers,DYNA FS cdi and high output coil and 6inch pods,Big bore CPI-inframe pipes 8 plate complete hinson clutch and pancake bearing and a pro shift mod, heres what is happening, when I'm in full throttle, shifting from 2nd to 3rd,it does'nt want to shift, only when I let off the throttle a little, only does it under load, but when I just go threw the gears normally it shifts fine,do I need another tranny mod, because its not a hole lot of horse power, compard to the biggger motors.run pump-gas 93oct,it sucks, because going from 2nd to 3rd is freakking awsome, lolbanghead.gif" />

Not sure I follow, Do you have an over ride cause I know of no bike you can just bang the shifter under load and get it to go into the next gear without the clutch or a snap of the throttle.

Sorry for the mis under standing,I have a stock tranny,no override, when i'm shifting,I am pulling in the clucth and trying to shift up at full trottle, but it doesn't want to, not until I drop the rpms a litttle.

100% need an override. I see you have an 8 plate but i would get a lockup also for shits and grins.

Dame, when I built it,I figured 85 to 90 hp wouldn't need an override, since it set up for pump gas,get alot more out of race gas but can't afford the good stuff right now, drywall contractor and work is getting hard to find, was going to get lock out if clucthes start slipping, but I have a hinson cover,so dont know if theres enough room for a dd,probly have to get a slinngshot'now just have to find a duneable or trail friendly 6 speed, got to have 6 gear, lol just put it all back together, not even jetted in yet banghead

Does anybody know who builds a good dunable 6 speed over ride tranny? M&M atv has a 5speed,but I haven't talked to Andy to see if they build a 6speed though.but I know people on here had some bad luck with over ride trannys, just dont know who made them though or where they were bought from, dont want put one in and have to take it out,lol I'll give Andy a call tomorrow, until then I'll have to stay out of the trottle, until I can get one. Thanks Guys, appreciat the advive and info.

Get an override and get rid of the pro shift mod. You are beyond what a stock transmission can handle...

Wow, How much can a Shee transmission take? I've never seen them break gears. I had nitrous wheeley bars and a slick on a RZ350 back in the 80s. All I ever broke were baskets.

PM dajogejr above about an override he can give you the info.

Or maybe he will chime in here.

You deffinately need an override. You can do all the transmission tricks and still won't be able to shift under a load. Give Cameron at Redline Racing a call. His duneables are very very strong and reliable.

I won't sell you an override because of how you ride.

My advice is call Kevin Herr and ask for his tranny mod that is not an override.

There is no such thing as a trail friendly override, I don't care who cuts it or how it's done. Not even the WCR Extreme tranny is trail friendly in my opinion.

The only override you can get with all 6 gears is the least friendly override you can get. You literally have to be at a 100% complete stop to even think about downshifting, or the trans will grenade.

You specifically said two things...trail friendly and 6th gear.

Sorry..no one cuts an override that will work for you in my opinion.

There is a thread on here about the original "extreme" override transmissions. There were a lot of issues with them.

They are supposedly fixed but it was a lot of heartache and they need to be proven to me for a year or so before I'd have any faith in them.

You could clean up the drum and remove every other dog on the transmission gears to help it shift better, but it still will not be an override....

I don't sell overrides anymore, but if I did this would be a classic case, in my opinion...of a phone call from a broken override in 6 to 8 months.

Once you get into the 125 to 130HP range it's almost mandatory for a billet 2nd gear.

They will break on launch.

Once you get into the 175 to 180 HP range a full billet tranny is a good idea.

I'm not going to say it's mandatory...but a good idea.
