ninjamaster Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Sold my modified Banshee 4 years ago for 2500 bucks what was I thinking lol. Now I want to jump back in the game. I am considering a girzzly 700, Raptor 700, another Banshee, or a Rokon Trailbreaker. How does the Raptor 700 compare to the other sport quads these days? Is the Grizzly 700 the top dog 4x4 quad? I have a huge interest in the range before refueling (had an IMS 5.5 gallon tank on my old Banshee). With that said, will a Raptor 700, Banshee, or Grizzly suck less fuel per mile if they are being run lightly or wide open? Also, who makes the biggest gas tank I can get for a Raptor 700, Banshee, and Grizzly? Whats the stock HP on the raptor? Never though I would go four stroke but it wouldnt hurt to try. Range is VERY important to me. How much weight can the Raptor and Banshee take without breaking? My camping/military pack is 120 pounds and im 240. Quote
12 0 Clock P I M P Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 You have to tell us your riding area...... I ride with a friend in WV with a raptor....fuel consumption is ok........any quad will suck less the more you baby the throttle.....A tank is always an option to expand Grizzly 700 - is a bad ass 4x4 you have a lot more options regarding fuel/camping equipment because you have racks.....the power, speed, and versatility is there....going to be a lot more comfortable for the long ride A banshee will suck gas all day everyday....a big tank will be a must option for you wishing to go far.....six pack rack with a small fuel can will get you more.... The weight will be hell on all suspensions except the grizzly....the utility is designed to carry the weight... But if its dune riding...woods riding....mountains...all of the above.....depends on what will be best for camping......if your camping with it a utility is the way to go.....I have a Big bear 400 for riding in WV.....you just get your ass kicked on the sport quads after a few hours of riding.... ninjamaster Posted August 3, 2010 Author Report Posted August 3, 2010 It will be mostly woods riding. Will a banshee consume less fuel than a grizzly or raptor since its not fuel injected? I also noticed I can get a 5.5 gallon tank for a banshee. Quote

I also noticed I can get a 5.5 gallon tank for a banshee. A Banshee will burn more fuel than a Grizzly because it is a 2 stroke and they burn more fuel than a 4 stroke. I have ridden with a buddy that has a Grizzly 700 and he rode most of the wekend on 1 tank of fuel while I had to fuel up my Banshee every time we came back to camp. Also, fuel injection tends to be better than carbs for fuel economy. Quote
brugal Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 Are you the same ninjamaster that had the whole B.H.Q. clown you a few years back? Quote

I know the Banshee can get the 5.5 gallon tank and the raptor 700 tank is like 2.3 gallons. Would a raptor go further with half the size fuel tank? Quote
theshee Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Raptor 700 o a Grizz 700 will go farther on gas. I have had all 3 bikes, still have the grizz and they will go damn near 60 miles on a tank of fuel. Get a Grizz, airbox mod, pipe, dynatek ignition, a clutch kit, and a cam and you have one hell of a bike. My grizz is a bad bitch with those mods, will ride wheelies better then a lot of sport bikes, and you can damn near forget about getting it stuck. Quote
