big 3-0 Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 the shifter slides off ! I bought a new one thinking it was just cuz other was old but this one does it too. I end up carrying an allen with me i loosen it up slide it back on the best i can and tighten it again . why is it happening and how can i fix it . any ideas ? thanks also - when is there gonna be a BHQ app ? i hate f ' in computers Quote
camatv Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 buy a new shift shaft, and clutch gasket and 2 qts oil, and might as well change the detent , alignment guide pin and spring while your in there. oh and you will need the clutch lock washer also. Quote

X2 shave or file the inside pinch points and then give her hell....should tighten her back up....to could weld it too..always an option Quote
