05Twin350
I know this topic has been beat to shit, but if someone could just clear up some info for it would be great. Is it safer to fun a 40:1 mix or a 32:1 mix on the shee. Not stock: 20 over, wisco pistons, T5's, +4 timing, coolhead, mild trail port. Please any thoughts and clear this up for me. I keep hearing different things. Thanks, Chris

banshee352savage
I run the same oil and both ratios are ok. Just remember that if you go from 40/1 to 32/1 it will lean out your air/fuel ratio so jet accordingly.
Meat
Read the label on the bottle of oil, if the manufacture has a recommended ratio, or range of ratios, use their ratio recommendation, as the oil company formulated their oil to be mixed at that specific ratio. If there's no specific recommendation on the bottle, then 32:1 is cool for non-synthetics and 40 or 50:1 is cool for synthetic oils. And always check & adjust your jetting when switching ratios. A higher mix ratio like 50:1 will make her run richer than a lower ratio like 20:1.
