trx4502shee Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 I just had a 4 mill stock cylinder on alky with t-6 inframs. Myquestion is what would cause the pipes to get really hot after one pass but the cylinders are so cold you could lick them. Quote
gotta_goatsfast Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 If the engine hasn't warmed up yet (the coolant) you're jugs will still be cool where as the pipes will get hot. Your exhaust could be restricted (plugged silencers maybe) not letting hot exhaust gases flow out. Give us some more feedback on what is happening. Because the thin steel of the pipes will heat up a LOT faster than a thick iron jug with water flowing through it. Quote
rb0804 Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 If your timing is too low, the mixture will burn going out the exhaust and the energy that should be applying work to the top of the piston and then transferred through the water is going out the exhaust... Quote
