peddro Posted June 24, 2010 Author Report Posted June 24, 2010 (edited) what bike is that on? also it would be better if it has a removable section over the sprocket so you didn't have to take the cover off each time to swap sprockets. The bike is a Yamaha TZR "250" 3XV with a 535cc banshee engine. sorry I am not too good a posting photos as it keeps saying file too big to upload. I could make the cover with a removabe side for the sprocket if required. Peddro. Edited June 24, 2010 by peddro Quote
peddro Posted June 24, 2010 Author Report Posted June 24, 2010 that bike is sweet. you need to post up more pictures and make a thread about that bike. also what is your prices for the cover. Thanks for your kind comments. Here's a link to a thread of the build. http://www.rzrd500.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=25817#25817 As for the price of a cover, I will have to look at it, as I will now have to make new moulds for the removable gear cover. I will try to get back to you either Friday or over the weekend. Best regards Peddro. Quote
peddro Posted June 24, 2010 Author Report Posted June 24, 2010 could you give a ballpark figure? I dont know exact, but a rough figure approx $290 -$300 but I will need to look into it tonight as its more complicated with the removable cover as you cant thread carbon, so threaded inserts need to be fitted so extra time in construction ect.... I will confirm Friday or over the weekend. Peddro. Quote
sheefreak Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 How does that thing run compared to other rockets Pedro? Quote
peddro Posted June 24, 2010 Author Report Posted June 24, 2010 (edited) The bike pulls from about 3,500rpm clean through to 10,200rpm with no dips in power. Its not as powerful as you chaps in the USA as I am still learning the set up but so good so far. As its a road bike it runs on 95ron pump fuel, jetting is still on the rich side but its safe for now as its only just finished & running. As for a comparison against other bikes, their are only a handful of 535 bikes in the UK so I cant compare performance. However its very light at 123.9kgs & on a bumpy raod the front wheel was up in fourth gear! its fast & its lots of fun. Peddro. Edited June 24, 2010 by peddro Quote
