SLOPOKE21 Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 i got a ported 4 mil cub that i just put on alky and i was trying to figure out what length swing arm to put on it. i am going to be mostly hill shooting and some occasional racing on a track, may even be on a paved track every now and then. i want something long enough so if i go bigger on my motor that i wont have to end up buying a new swinger. i was thinking like a +10 or +12 but i keep getting so many different answers i just wanted to see what some of you guys thought. i weigh about 225 and have 14-42 gearing. i was told i could get away with a +6 and some 8 or 9 paddles but i just dont see the front end staying down to well. i want to try and get this done by memorial day as it will be my first weekend on the bike with the porting, alky, and override so i want to be able to go out and not have to worry about the front end staying down. i already had this problem once when i first built my cub and dont want to deal with it again. Wheelman Chassis Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 all my mods are in my sig, im 260lbs 72 ro 10 paddle extremes, around 100 hp and i have a + 12, on sand leaving in second it launches then carries the fronts 6-8 inches through 3-4 the sets them bown and books. on asphalt strapped doun no bar, american racers and spindal mount fronts, launching wot in first it will still pull the fronts and carry them but hardly ever to where you can short shift to keep it from going to high, with that said a 6-8 inch slide back on the seat and you can flip it over.... us fat guys have alot of ass to put over the tires..lol hope that helps Quote
