shakenbake1285 Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 My 05 shee has more air comen out of rightside exhaust than left. How can u tell if shee is ready to blow. Quote
VegasJeff Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 most likely your carbs are out of sync. pull the air filter off and open the throttle(when it's not running) and see if they open at the exact same time. Quote
shakenbake1285 Posted May 17, 2010 Author Report Posted May 17, 2010 How do I make them open the same time? And do I need any special tools? Thanks Quote
98_shee Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 On stock carbs their is a site hole in the rite side and a small hole in the slide when the throttle is wide open the hole's in the slides should line up with the site holes. Quote
shakenbake1285 Posted May 17, 2010 Author Report Posted May 17, 2010 Do I just adjust the throttle cable on top of carbs to line them up. I have the tors removed also on the carbs. And I don't need a sync tool or anything Quote
shakenbake1285 Posted May 17, 2010 Author Report Posted May 17, 2010 My right slide (kick start side) opens slightly b4 the other side when u barely push the throttle Quote
Budget"shee" Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 My right slide (kick start side) opens slightly b4 the other side when u barely push the throttle Turn off your fuel remove your filter so you can see the slides. Look in the peep hole on right side of carbs open full throttle you should see a mark in the peep hole on both carbs. If not adjust the cable on top of carb untill both are visable. This will get you close. Quote
shakenbake1285 Posted May 17, 2010 Author Report Posted May 17, 2010 I got the slides opening the same but can't see anything in the round glass piece at full throttle. Quote
shakenbake1285 Posted May 17, 2010 Author Report Posted May 17, 2010 Thanks everyone I just got it synced. Just waitin for the rain to stop so I can try it out. How do I check to make sure the idle screws r the same? Turn them all the way in on both carbs then turn them the same amount of turns? Quote
Budget"shee" Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 I got the slides opening the same but can't see anything in the round glass piece at full throttle. You prob have the slides in the wrong carbs if you dont see the mark. i did this when i installed the tors removal on mine. As for the idle you can try adjusting like you said but it depends on if both carbs were modified exactly the same when adding the idle screw. Quote
shakenbake1285 Posted May 17, 2010 Author Report Posted May 17, 2010 The slides was in backward lol. Now can't get it to idle n it has a hesitation in the bottom end. Quote
Budget"shee" Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 (edited) The slides was in backward lol. Now can't get it to idle n it has a hesitation in the bottom end.
