Loc Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 I am looking to get the right gearing for my setup and don't know alot about gearing. I have a Dune/Play port, pipes, filters, advanced timing and the basic bolt on modifications. I am currently running 21x10x8 8 paddle haulers on the rear. I do mostly drag racing and some trail/dune riding. I am looking for gearing that is going to give me the optimum performance in a 300' or slightly longer sand drag race. My gearing is currently stock. Thanks for the help. Quote
Loc Posted May 6, 2010 Author Report Posted May 6, 2010 Nobody has a good idea for gearing for sand drags. Quote
87sheerips Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 I run 15/44 in my 4mil stock cylinder drag bike. 12 paddle extremes with a 10 over arm. it works well for me. I like it. Quote
springer Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 i am running a 13 tooth in front with a very similar setup to yours. it works good, but i had that on from when i was running stock jugs. i think i am going back to the 14 up front which is stock gearing. you might already be where you need to be. if anything, buy a couple different fronts and play around. they are cheap enough...
