i have a set of toomey t6 pipe and was wondering what happens to them once the engine becomes too modded for them? thinking of doing head work along with minor exhaust porting. any ideas?

Nothing will happen to them. Dont worry, they wont explode on ya.

They will be fine. You may not gain as much as you would with other pipes, but you wont notice if you never switch pipes :rotflmao:

so say if i did a major port job and heads. they would still work and i would still notice the power change?

Yes you would notice a performance difference. I would call toomey and tell them what work you want to do and see what they say. I always hear T5 is better for engine mods but I'm sure toomey could tell you why that is.

lol, the t-6's are abit mis-understood........ok, they may not work well with a std mid-top dune port, but that is because that is not what kind of pipe they are.....they are a "wide band" pipe, that increases efficiency with near stock flow, but you will see plenty gains porting to the pipe on stock stroke, and pushing it with 4mill, but they will hang.....heads, reads and i would stay 30mm-under on the carbs, but 33's will work...sounds like you already have a good plan, so go to town on what you want, and everything will be fine, just remember what kind of pipe it is when it comes to porting.......it won't like "drag" port too much, lol
