VictorK Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 I went out last week and rode some sandy trails,my airfilter was covered in sand so IO cleaned it.Today I tried to start my bike and I had to pop it,then it would only run in high rpm so I assumed the pilots were clogged then I cleaned the carbs.then with the bike together with cleaned carbs and filter the bike was breaking up and not hitting powerband good.my buddy switched the coil wires around in a similar situation so I tried it and my bike ran good! can I leave my coil wires on backwards or what? rdzbangshee Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 ya the + side of the coil is one the right side towards the front of the quad on the coil orange to +wire . black - wire goes on the back towards the back. the coil don't have a + or - marking on them you can hook it up ether way which ever work best. My coil actually does have a plus and minus, like I said above after cleaning the carbs and filter I went over the wires and remembered my friend switching the wires on his extra shee and it worked so I did it.my only concern was that its ok to switch them around Quote
