What's this part called?

It's the white o-ringed cover that goes over the shift drum on the outside of the case. I can't find it on the schematic and I can't find my Clymer's. I need one of these.

it's called a neutral switch cover.

yup neutral switch cover, theres some nice billet ones on ebay, a little pricey but they never crack.

Does the case saver mount there?If so do you remove it to install case saver?

It depends on the brand of casesaver, some of them DO mount there.

Is it a problem if it cracks? Mine is cracked on all 3 edges and for that reason I'm hesitant about pulling it off.

It will start leaking tranny oil or it will fall off if the ears are cracked.

My billet tusk mounts there and so does the girls, and they go right over the nuetral switch cover! Not sure on the tm designs cause ive never ran one, but most savers will go right over the switch cover, at least thats what ive always done and never had any problems.
