SD1026 Posted April 19, 2010 Report Posted April 19, 2010 I have 30 o.k.o's. Im currently running a 140 main which I think I may need a 142 or 5 due to lose of power way up top of like 5th and 6th. Tried a 148 and it was rich and 135 is lean. I also have 55 piolets and takes couple kicks to start so I was thinking I was fat on the piolet maybe a 52 would be good. But this brings me to my ? How does it feel when a bike revs out to a pipe. The pc,s are low to mid so would they rev out making it feel like a jetting issue any input will be great. Quote

robert0762 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I think u are very rich on pilots. I just got a 4 mill mx port from hjr and i had to drop down to a 45 pilot Quote
Snopczynski Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 This is more than likely a jetting or electrical problem. Just because a low-mid pipe focuses the power around that rpm range, doesn't mean it wont pull a high gear. My bike revs out into 6th gear no problem. You need to check the jetting thread to see what other people are running for jetting in those carbs, or call cascade innovations and ask them for specs. Quote

But you think the fuel delevery is slacking in these carbs. Quote
Snopczynski Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 Pilot jets have nothing to do with the top end. Thats main jet. Midrange is needle. Idle and up to 1/8 or so throttle is the pilot. I dont think the fuel delivery is slacking. I think more than likely they are jetted improperly. Quote
