GPz11 Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 Hi folks, kinda sad that this has to be my first post in selling my Banshee off but I don't use it anymore. I've got it listed in a few places but some of the folks have mentioned that my price is way out of the ball park. I was / am asking $2950 for it along with all the extra parts. I was told that I can buy a newer one for less money and my response was sure you can but in this condition? So I'm asking out here where I would expect you to have a better idea on what my Banshee is worth. Thanks! Below is my ad. Clean title in my name, I'm the second owner. I've owned it since 1989. I no longer ride it and has been basically collecting dust. So it's time for it to move on to someone who will enjoy riding it as much as I have. This quad has spent the majority of it's life running around Silver Lake sand dunes in Mi. The last time it was in the dunes was in '06. I took it out last year to Bong rec. park in Wis to make sure the newly installed PVL ignition was working correctly. I installed a new kill switch last night and after sitting all winter, took 4 kicks to start. Runs well and very strong. The plastic has some scuffs in it but nothing major. When I was up in Mi. in 2006, it passed their sound level test with the stock silencers which are also spark arrestors. Powder coated frame, hubs, foot pegs, & misc bolts Chromed front upper & lower control arms Chromed 5" extended swingarm Bronze bushings in the front suspension Dura Blue Adjustable width rear axle Cascade seat cover Cascade chain slider Extra set of custom paddle tires & front steer tires. Custom radiator cover Braided Stainless brake lines front & rear. Welded & trued crankshaft by Ritter Cycle Racing Cylinder porting by Ritter Cycle Racing Cylinder head decked by Ritter Cycle Racing 34MM Flatslide Mikuni carbs Dual K&N filters Duncan Racing quick change clutch cover Hinson clutch basket 1/2" reed cage spacers TDR reeds Kleem Research pipes 2 extra sets of silencers Pingle "Pass more gas" dual outlet petcock PVL ignition Spares include complete stock ignition with lightened rotor, new Ricky Stator adjustable stator, spark plugs, jetting, stock carbs, service manual, stock swingarm and other misc items. DallasGDub Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 Newer is not always better. Mods is what makes it worth anything, not the year model. I would take your bike over a newer stock banshee any day. Just hard to sell anything these days unless it is cheap. Quote

Just becasue it's newer doesn't mean it's better. A closer pic of the engine Quote
TwistedSheeRida Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 I dont see anything wrong with your asking price. Seems more than fair to me. In my eyes a banshee is a banshee, I buy according to condition. Quote
Boston Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 id stay firm or just keep it!!! clean bike forsure! Quote
Larry's Shee Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 Also depends on local market, if you don't have to sell it , I'd hold on price. Maybe be willing to go $100 on final bargining. Quote
Mjv420 Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 Im going to say thats a good price, because it looks like its been adult cared for. Quote
GPz11 Posted April 9, 2010 Author Report Posted April 9, 2010 Oh, I wish I could keep it but I really haven't ridden it too much in the last 10 years. I'm getting tired of moving it around between the garage and the trailer. I also picked up a dirt bike and part of the deal with da Missus was to sell the Banshee off. I've done the parting out thing with other bikes and I really don't want to go through that hassle of trying to ship everything. Also you usually end up with a pile of stuff no one wanted. Here's a shot of it back in the day with the +10 arm and the sidewinder pipes. Sitting in it's natural element at Silver Lake. Quote
GPz11 Posted April 25, 2010 Author Report Posted April 25, 2010 Thanks Folks, my Banshee has moved on to a new owner. Quote
