It will repell water to some extent, but if you sink your quad, the filter will get wet. This pre filter will filter particals in smaller microns with out sacrafising alot of air flow. The K&N filter is known to beathe but in order to do that, the filter won't catch the smaller particals. I bought two of these on accident and just want to sell one.
