alright i put a set of 64mm wiseco pistons in my stock cylinders and they dont expand like the stock ones so they scratched my cylinders up a bit not much. now my question is if i buy 64.50 wisecos would they be big enuff to get a good bore? if i was putting stock pistons back in i could go with 64.25 because the scratches are only minor i cought it before it did any real damage. i just know .5 of a mm aint much just looking for opinions 64.50 or 64.75

i know i should have brought my cylinders to a machine shop to tell me before i bought my pistons but i had the money for the crank and pistons so i bought them and i still didn't pay for the pistons so i can change them but i wont have any more money for like 2 weeks and the guy on ebay wont wait 2 weeks for me to get my cylinders to a machine shop

I always recomend taking your cylinders to a reutable machinist and let them obtain the pistons as required. When it comes to car engines the pistons vary enough for a given size that they adjust the bore size for proper clearance, we are talking .0001 inches difference. I don't think ATV pistons vary by much, so I don't think the machinist do that. But by letting whoever bores the cylinders supply the pistons, it gives you some recourse if something is not right when it is put together. There wont be any of the machinist saying the pistons are wrong or the piston supplier saying the machinist screwed up. In my opinion, that makes it cheaper in the long run to do it this way. All this being said, if you want to gamble, you can probably go with the 64.5 pistons as I have seen some pretty nasty scratches clean up with that much of an overbore. Of course I can't see your jugs to be sure so it is on you.
