DAN SCOTT Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Hey guys i have a 2000 shee and am running a dyna box with a nology coil and wires, just was wondering if anyone know how much curve 3 on the dyna box advances the timing? just was wondering so i know what to advance the plate too. i currantly am runnig it on +3 on curve 3 with 111 octane @ 180 psi compression on both sides. tell me what you guys think, thanks for the input Quote
Profilact Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 i thought the point of running a dyna was to eliminate the timing plate. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Check the dyna site. They have a map for the curves. I think it is something like 13 degrees at it's max. I ran mine at +4 and curve three when I was runing race gas on my 4mil Quote

Yeah you can eliminate the plate if you have the cord and software to add more timing on the dyna. Any pre-programmed dyna setting could use a little timing on the plate on some motors, depending on octane of the fuel of course. Quote
AKheathen Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 x3, there's only a few, i think like 4 max degrees over stock, but the profiles are better. it's been posted a few times in here in the past few monts, actually. another thing- it's not suggested to upgrade the coil on the dyna, since it boosts the stock ignition energy already. i don't know how many do with good results and no problems in the real world, though.... Snopczynski Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 If you set the plate at +3 and run curve 3, I believe your going to be running about 7 degrees of advance. Quote
