overrevtricky Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 If anyone can somewhat make out these pics, i'm trying to get a second opinion on my jetting. Details are: Stock air box/filter, stock mikunis 300 main, 27.5pilot stock needle position, VF3's, stock jugs, T-5's. Thanks guys! oh, they are a bit lighter than what they are in the photos. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Can really tell you anything much from the pics but do these steps to the "T".... http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html Quote
RadarRacing Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 If that's a pretty new plug and that's a wide open then shutoff and rolled to a stop with the clutch in then you are putting plenty of color on it. You still need to check the ring down inside. If that was a pretty new plug my guess is you are gonna be a jet or maybe two rich. Without choppin it you can't tell for sure. Quote
sleeper06 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Get a filter and loose the lid then that main jet is dead on in the winter, staying the way you are im thinking 240,250 range Quote
overrevtricky Posted March 16, 2010 Author Report Posted March 16, 2010 plug chop results are in!! I'm not a genius but i would say the one is rich, one is spot on. and this is NOT a 1-6th gear railed, pull clutch and kill it. They where new plugs with about an hour of hard ridin on them. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Not to burst your bubble, but if you want to know if your lean or rich on the mains, a Proper plug chop has to be done. But just going by what you have there you might be a lil rich some place on your jetting. Quote
overrevtricky Posted March 16, 2010 Author Report Posted March 16, 2010 I'm going to get a real one done tomorrow, thats just what I had for now. Quote
