Got a new clutch pack

I just got a new heavy duty clutch kit from cascade and i've heard that with those kits i'm supposed to keep 3 of the factory springs and do every other one with the heavy duty springs it came with, is that true? or do I just put all 6 of the HD springs in?

You could do either really in my opinion. i would use at least 3 of each but if you got strong hands throw em all in and see if its too rough

Would it be hard on the clutch cable to use all 6? If not I think I'll just toss em all in..

Everything stretches. If its and old cable, it should already be stretched.

 

I have tried the 6hd springs and it was hard as hell and not fun to pull the clutch in. So i went back to 3&3. Have been running it for about two years now with nothing bad to say. But if you have some Popi arms. Go ahead and try the 6. But just think back on how much you really shift when you are riding the dunes.

I run 3+3 in my Toomey setup, it depends on the springs and your hand. All 6 will be that much more stress on the cable, clutch ball, etc. when the clutch is pulled. My setup has been working fine for 15 years and there is no clutch slippage at all.

I tried 6 HD springs in my banshee. I was also using a dirt bike clutch lever so it was a little shorter. 6 HD springs was way too hard to pull in. I put it to 3 and 3.

6 hd springs here also. New cable and clutch lever and perch, not bad at all to pull all 6

Alright cool I'll experiment both ways and see what I like best, thanks guys! I got the old clutch taken apart right now but I can't put the new one on till tomorrow cuz I gotta go to a dealer and pick up a clutch hub holding tool so I can take the hub off to install my new modded shift star. Can't wait to get it all back together!

its not that hard to pull

 

Just only pulling for starts and stops I see. I do alot of quick down shifting in the dunes. So the clutch only really gets pulled for starts, easy riding and stopn, That is if I remember to use the damn thing.
