Does anyone have a diagram or pic of how to drain the floatbowl? one for each stock carb?? how often should this be done?

Undo the 4 small screws holding the bowl on, pull bowl off, and drain the waisted fuel out for nothing

No need to drain the bowls. Just turn your petcock off after you ride.

There is a built in drain. Its the screw at the bottom of the bowls. But they are a bitch and not worth the stripping of the screws and wasting the fuel

My carbs tend to gum up as I dont ride that often and leak out the overflows when standing. I heard that draining the bowls will help with this problem..

Suggestions?

 

Also I feel I dont have the knowledge to take them out and clean them. I guess I am scared I might screw up the settings or something like that. Since I dont have synctool or anything like that. If Anyone needs to do this in the near future I would greatly appreciate you guys posting some type of step by step procedure with photos.

You can turn the fuel off and run the carbs dry. I have to do that when I have to stack my bike in the toyhauler. Just vary the rpms from idle. But not much.

Thanks.. I always shut off the petcock after I ride..How often would you recomend carb cleaning.. I run 100 leaded with castor 927

Yeah turning it off is good.

Myself, i usually clean them out 1 time every couple seasons and i ride a shit load all summer long too. I also run 100LL and Amsoil 50:1.
