SAVAGE420 Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 Your for sure very lean on top. Do not run it again like this!!! I would start with like a 165, and proly end up at 162 or 160 mains. Seems a size big on the pilots also. But if it pulls clean down low, dont mess with it. Always better to start off a lil rich then get her so she pulls clean all the way through. Do some plug chops also. Do the list EXACTLY though http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html Quote
rzman Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Ive got the same set up,Trinity told me 55pilots and 145 mains cel needles 3rd clip Quote

viking9990 Posted March 16, 2010 Author Report Posted March 16, 2010 air screws should be 2 1/2 turns out right ? Quote
rzman Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 air screws should be 2 1/2 turns out right ? Yes,and fine tune from there, half a turn in or out until she pulls clean all the way to the top Quote
Modified RC Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 I just got my 485 all put together, I'm also using shearer pipes and 35 pwk's. I got everything from HJR and this is how they set mine up: CEL needle middle clip 165 mains(also sent 168,162, and 160 mains) 55 pilot 1 1/2 turns out on air screw I hope this helps, it sounds very similiar to Savage420's advice Quote
Modified RC Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Are your carbs airstrikers? I don't think they are airstrikers. The part number on the box is 70RAA here is a pic, not sure if you can tell by the pic if they are airstrikers or not. Quote
