freeride87 Posted March 1, 2010 Author Report Posted March 1, 2010 yes i had them done at local shop.im running a 165 main with 58 pilot Quote
Dinner Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Those are pretty big carb's for a fairly stock engine IMO. I would see if you can get your hands on a stock set or 28's. If not, you'll have to try to re-jet doing plug chops and reading around to see where you should be at for altitude and temp. It just might be a real pain trying to get those big carbs dialed in... 06specialedition Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Yeah I almost bought new carbs but from what I've heard stock carbs work really well on a ported built motor. Bigger carbs can just make the bike fall on its face I'm not an expert, just my opinion. Quote
Dinner Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Well stock carbs really shouldn't be used on a Ported engine. If anything you should bump up to at least 28mm. If you hill climb, or do a lot of hard riding where you demand that constant high fuel/air rate. You will have to upgrade carbs from stock in order to keep the engine happy. Quote
freeride87 Posted March 3, 2010 Author Report Posted March 3, 2010 sorry i found my mics today the are 35mm pjs Quote
