I just bought a '99 Banshee and could use some advice. It has a Cool head, pro design intakes, boost bottle, still has tors,T-5 pipes,26 mm carbs,K&N 2 in to 1 filter with lid and snorkle. It has 122 compression on right and 124 on left. The bike runs strong on 3/4 to full throttle but boggy down low. It is leaking fuel out of the over flow tubes and the plugs stay wet. Now I pulled the carbs and this is what I found: 220 mains, 25 pilot, clip in 4th slot from flat end of needle. I live in Texas (Houston) hot and humid most of the time. Right now it's around 60 to 65 deg temps at sea level. I have read and done searches here on the site and this is what I think I should start out with for a ballpark tune: Tors delete, delete boost bottle, remove air box lid, 290 or 300 mains, 27.5 pilots, clip in middle position, air screws 1 1/2 off the seat, new needle and seats and sync the carbs. Thanks for any advice!

Thanks, I will start with 300's. Also what ratio should I run the pre-mix at? I will be running 93 octane and trail riding with some straights thrown in. Thanks.

Also how much better would it run to delete the whole air box and run dual K&N filters? If that's a good change then what size filters? And would the 300 main still be good to start with or should I go with the 310 first? Thanks

I like running pod filters(dual k&n) it makes a big difference. Just run good outerwears, you will need to run 320 or 330 with them. I mix at 40-1 alot of guys like 32-1 B)
