SandmanPNW Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Whats up HQ, I am looking to plan a huge riding trip for next year and am wondering what to hit up between portland, or and Glamis. MY buddy is going to ship out his shee from NY( maybe a few others too) and I want to make sure this is going to be the baddest riding road trip we can make it. I am looking into it real early so we can all be as prepared as possible since it wont be cheap. I plan on hitting up florence, coos and winchester in oregon. All I know of in Cali is pismo and Glamis but am mainly unsure about whats in between Oregon and pismo. I plan on it costing quite a bit of cash and going for 2+ weeks. If all goes as planned I will for sure look to meet up with fellow HQers on the way. Thanks for the info. Quote
bansheesandrider Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 (edited) Are you going sand only? I think you listed every thing between Portland and Pismo.Further south there is Dumont, Buttercup, and several others. Here is a web site listing all the sand dune riding spots in the US and what you need to ride there,http://www.duneguide.com/. Click on sand dunes and then CA and OR. There are also a couple spots in Nevada if you want to come home that way. If you come home through Nevada, you could also hit Christmas Valley, it is SE of Bend,OR.
