LED lights shut banshee down

i hooked up 8 LED lights on my bike installed a resitor and an inline fuse bike wont run when i turn them on, I tied them into the black and white wire that goes to the light/kill switch, any one have a fix like a wire that i should be tied into??????????

i would use the green wire going to your headlight as the power source for your led lights that way they come on wen u turn on your headlights... lol but right now all u did was wire up a really expesive kill switch... but this should also help you out: http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/elecfaq.html

You should use the wires coming out of the the head light switch. When you ground the black wire with white stipe that is what kills the engine. So you have a nice kill switch.

yes the red yellow wire is what i would use for your power supply n just run an inline switch if u want to be able to turn em off.

Or tie it in to the green or yellow wire and use the handle bar switch to turn them on and off.

there is no more/less power wires, just power. if you are using the stock switch, , you can use the headlight pigtails and you will get power to the green wires when the switch is in low position and power to the yellow wires when the switch is in high position, and use the solid black for ground. so, are you just sticking bare leds in with resistors or something? if they are led units made for 12v, then no resistors are needed. if you are just wanting to run them when it's running full time, without switches, then you just need the power and any solid black wire in the harness, or frame/engine ground
