jcow Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 i have a 2003 banshee 100% stock. for the past 3 months it has been sitting in my garage while i replaced the carrier bearings on it. im in ohio so it has been very cold those past 3 months, and when i fixed it and went to start it i got nothing. i even tried to pull start it and it doesnt sound like it wants to kick over. do the plugs foul up really easy during winter? i also have another issue with it. i replaced my clutch lever as well and when i put it on my clutches dont work now. think it could be from drying out the clutches or very cold gear oil? thanks for the help. jcow Posted January 7, 2010 Author Report Posted January 7, 2010 i live in cincinnati. ya the snow is the reason i want it running haha. but ya before it would start first kick no problem. the plugs havnt been changed in a while so il prob go ahead and change them for fun. ya i guess that makes sense with the gas oil mix just sitting in the carb that long. its gotta be gummed up. i have 4 atvs and seems like all i have is problms when i want to ride haha. ltz 400 needs gaskets and banshee needs cleaned out and 300ex needs a battery and scrambler needs pull cord put back in. ha its a mess and i have a busy week so we will see if it works. thanks for the help. 98_shee Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) Most likely pilot jets are pluged. Take the carbs apart pull the jets out and clean them, make sure to clean all the small holes in the pilots, take compressed air to the carbs and jets. The gas is probably seperated, I would drain the old gas and mix a fresh batch for it. Edited January 7, 2010 by 98_shee Quote
sycopyroclown00 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 how do u pull start a banshee? Quote
cousinsracing Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 by having someone pull you and then popping it into gear and letting the tires turn the engine over until it fires Quote
