HI I JUST WANTED TO GET A LITTLE MORE HORSEPOWER OUT OF MY SHEE BUT WAS WONDERING HOW MUCH I COULD SHAVE OFF AND BE SAFE AND STILL BE ABLE TO RUN PREMIUM GAS? ANY INPUT WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL, THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS

you will notice some more bottom end for sure. really should do a squish test to determine how much you wanna mill. to be safe id say .020-.025". ive went .030 but thats a little tight. also depends on the thickness of your base gasket

here ya go.

 

it is recommended that your squish be around .040-.045. so if your squish is now .060" you can go .020 off your head to put you at .040

one more question sorry, now when u insert the solder do u measure the very edge of the squish but cause the squish does start to get thicker because of the design of the head, u guys know wat i mean??

my machine shop informed me that .030 was the max !! puts a little to much stress on the pistons in the chamber on the compression stroke if thr squish is too great. it will actually stress fracture your pistons and break them eventually leading to a complete engine tear dowwn and cleaning.

Wats up Freddy Im in Riverside also..I called Kevin from hjr and asked him the

same thing and he told me .030 is fine..and that the squish on stock head is

really loose on banshees..I went to that machine shop off main by 60
