T_Shee Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 you will notice some more bottom end for sure. really should do a squish test to determine how much you wanna mill. to be safe id say .020-.025". ive went .030 but thats a little tight. also depends on the thickness of your base gasket Quote

rascal Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 one more question sorry, now when u insert the solder do u measure the very edge of the squish but cause the squish does start to get thicker because of the design of the head, u guys know wat i mean?? my machine shop informed me that .030 was the max !! puts a little to much stress on the pistons in the chamber on the compression stroke if thr squish is too great. it will actually stress fracture your pistons and break them eventually leading to a complete engine tear dowwn and cleaning.
