I am almost done building a new motor, and I have a few questions.

 

The mods are..

-fresh bottom end with a trued and welded crank

-timing plate on +4

-2 into 1 carbs

-full fmf fatty exhaust

-new stock bore upper end

-cool head with 18cc domes

 

I am willing to run 110 octain at all time, are the 18cc domes the right choice? I know the next step would be cylinder porting, but I want to get some miles on it first.

 

Is there any other mods I should be doing? I am trying to take out a piped and tuned 700 raptor.

 Are you trying to beat the Raptor in a drag race? If that's what you're looking to do then I'd ditch the 2:1 carb deal, as you'll lose a lot of top end with that setup. But if you're trying to lose him on the trails then keep it, and other than that everything looks good, go with the right gearing and let her rip.
