broncbob Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 I have a gallon jug of Klotz R50 that has to be going on 5 years old now. It was opened and about a quart used, then capped and stored in the garage. It actually came with a 96 that I just picked up, and the bike was last rode in 05. Quote
bansheesandrider Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 As far as I know R50 does not breakdown in a capped jug. I would shake it up good to make sure it has not settled out, and then pour it in a measuring(RatioRite) cup and see what it looks like. As long as it is the reddish purple color and not chunky, watery or cloudy I would use it. I have used R50 that was over two years old with no problems, but you need to make the call, it is your bike and your problem if anything happens. Quote

I have been using Klotz for over 7 years and it my first choice. Bansheesandrider had good input. Good Luck Quote
HiRoller Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Probably still good. I was told by Maxima support that their 2 stroke oil (Super M) is good for 10+ years, so Klotz is most likely too. Quote
