forrest411 Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 I recently got a used 99 Banshee. It runs great except for off idle. I read a few links about the cause. I was thinking the airscrew from what I read. I took the filter off to clean it and I wanted to check to see if both slides where opening at the same time. The good news is there where, the bad, both carb slides are all scratched up. It appears that sand and dirt where getting past the filter and getting into the carbs. What would you suggest? I have other bikes / ATV's in the past and none of the carb slides look like these. Quote
AKheathen Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 tear the carbs down, 1 at a time, and clean them thouroughly. remove the jets, etc. clean up any burrs on the slides or bore. Quote
