#1JUANstunna Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 Their should be a 3-4 inch line going between the carbs, this makes the choke work on the second carb. That has to be your problem. Quote

AKheathen Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 31?!?! psh. in all fairness, the stock 660 is really choked down and leaned out safely......i have an fmf powerbomb pipe for the 660, i don't have the muffler, though. all he needs is to jet.......and he can run open baffle.......really wakes it up. A L I A S Posted October 25, 2009 Author Report Posted October 25, 2009 so yeah i put a piece of hose between the carbs for the choke, and still no start...it does sound like its alot closer to starting though....anyone have any more ideas that a noob would mess up lol? i put fresh plugs in it for the record Quote
AKheathen Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 check your float bowls, one of them should have a little brass bead in the side, near the bottom. that one goes on the choke carb. there is also a little choke jet in the bottom of the long hole that could be plugged. what do your new pluggs look like? ZRD1221 Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 I went through somewhat of a similar problem. -Check your throttle free play. -I know you said you have spark but really check iginition coil try using a multimeter it will tell you the ohms (restiance). I thought i was getting spark turns out it was way to weak. Pick an ignition coil up off of RM Stator on Ebay 50 bucks and its far better then stock. -If that dosent solve it along with the other ideas people have recommended do the basics (Carb Sync, Jetting, Cracks in the rubber spigots, etc.) Finnally good luck and just be patient Quote
