mikuni 26mm jet needles

anyone know where to buy different style and length needles? , i know my stock needle is a 5n7, is this shorter than say a needle from dyno or moose jet kit? basically the needle from my spare carbs are on the lean side and alot longer than the needle out of my primary set. dont know where they came from . even if i were to put the clip on the very bottom of the needle it is still longer than the other needles i have.

Im pretty sure Vitos has the "red" needle for stock carbs, and trinity has needles for the stock carbs they are both supposed to be decent parts.

I'm in the same boat..

 

I need to replace the Needle Jets and Jet Needles on my VM26SS carbs

 

Is it possible to match the standard numbered generally available Mikuni ones (from places like Sudco) to the OEM ones ?

 

I think the Needle jets are 183 series ? so would the 183 Series O-8 be the go ?

 

I guess a close match on the #5 series needles would be ok ?
