KlotzBanshee Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 how do i get my clutch basket off the inner wheel is just spinning i tried using a impact gun but that didn't work Its not a stupid question...you just need to get creative. I find its easy to just stick something small ( I use a little 1/4" dia nylon dowl) between the primary drive gear on the crank and the gear on the back of the clutch basket. Just wedge it slightly in the gears to keep them from moving and then hit the nut with the impact gun...viola Or if you have a clutch holder tool and the flywheel it still on...hold the flywheel with the tool and remove the nut that way. ...whatever it takes to keep the basket from moving without damaging anything. Hope that helps, good luck. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I stick a rag between the gears..simple and effective and gets the job done with out braking anything. Quote
