shawn-n-amber Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Ok....How much is okay?? I just drained the transmission and there was to me alot of metal/gold glitter in the oil. Does this mean that my transmission is giving up? Or is this normal? Quote
JMADD Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 YOu really need a magnetic drain plug to see how much metal is in the oil. MOst of the time when metal is piled up on the magnet, it's because the clip came off of the idler gear (beside the kick starter gear) and it's been bouncing around inside the clutch cover. The transmission is most likely fine. Quote
