NVRBanshee Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 i picked up another banshee the other day with a fresh motor but it scares me cause it is a stock stroke 66mm bore with 17cc domes vforce reeds and T5 pipes the timing looks to be left alone. My question is it runs good but should it, that seemes to be a wierd combo to me what should i do to make it better or should i leave it alone any infowould help never run 17cc domes stock port to. i live in kansas Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 If it runs good why change it? The only thing is running 17s will probably require you run race gas. You should check your compression and find out how much you have and go from there. Quote
XxMeltIcexX Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 If Google is right, your elevation is near the 2000 ft range, which will put you around 180+ on 17cc domes. Race gas is a must. Quote
NVRBanshee Posted September 7, 2009 Author Report Posted September 7, 2009 I run Vp 110 now if i advance the timig will i get more power what can i do with this motor to make a little more with what it is. it will be my girlfriends bike Quote
NVRBanshee Posted September 7, 2009 Author Report Posted September 7, 2009 i dont think so i didnt take it down that far the guy said it was a hot rod crank Quote
XxMeltIcexX Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Well high compression will reduce reliability in that motor, especially if it doesn't have a welded crank. Honestly I ran 185 psi with a stock stroke crank pretty damn hard with no issues. Timing was +4 timing on gas +7 on alky. With VP110 your fine running timing with that setup. Quote
