the neutral switch on my 99 banshee keeps leaking...i pulled it off and put a new o-ring on it but it still leaks...is there suppose to be a gasket on it or something? is there a way i can get rid or it all together and just permanently seal the whole thing ?

I had the same problem with mine a few days ago, cleaned up the switch cover and put some high temp RTV on it. Hasn't leaked since.

i just bought some gasket stuff..do you think that will work ? if not where can i buy that RTV stuff what is rtv?

I'm not sure what you mean by "gasket stuff" , but you can get RTV at any automotive parts place and probably most hardware stores.

ya..i looked on the bottle and it said rtv.... i just put it on the thingy (like 5 mins ago) and now i wait a day for it to set/cute

Mine was leaking at one point also. What I did was drain the oil out of the bike and clean that area very nicely so the o-ring can fit smooth and flush. Make sure you look at the plastic closely beecause it could have a fracture or just where and tear from being old. BOSS racing actually sells a billet cover for like $24 maybe a good investment.
