Direct Drive Lock-up

Hey guys, I have a Direct Drive lock-up on my clutch and i'm not sure I need it. I only have a few mods..Toomey pipes, K&N pods, and Boyeson reeds. Is the lock-up a bit overkill? I know they are adjustable but all I do is spin when i get on the throttle (doesnt matter what gear). I mainly ride hard-loose gravel roads and dirt trails with the occasional dune trip. Should I leave it on and fine tune it, or take it off ll together? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

No downside to leaving it on, as long as your able to clutch it and shift it easily. Your clutch will last a lot longer also.

If all you did was spin before you put the lockup on, and as said...if you can pull the clutch and it shifts, then leave it on.

If you didn't sit and spin before the lockup...take the bolts and nuts off it...get better tires and regear the bike.

 

As said, you don't "need" a lockup....but as long as you can shift, it's not hurting anything.

I will fix that problem for you. Just send me your jugs for a full port job. Then you will need the lockup.

Hahaha problem solved... I was actually thinking about getting the shed ported over the winter. What do you charge??
