racerzippy
Just got done putting on a new top end(fresh jugs, pistons, replacement stock head) and fired up to do break-in and motor runs fine until it gets warm. After warming up it starts to make a compressor type noise out of the right side. Doesn't feel like it is getting fire all the time when you put your hand over right tailpipe. Tors is removed and it has lrd adjustables with 29.5 pilot and 310 main jets with k&n pods. Run at sea level on Oregon coast and have never had to run any different than this with my t-5's. Was going to tear into reeds and carbs to make sure it wasn't a lean situation but wanted to get some ideas before running it any more than I have to.Any suggestions would help. Hmm. the jetting should be right. i think i ran a 27.5 pilots when i had stockers with similar mods. have you checked your stator and the pickup. that little pickup can caouse all different kinds of problems. make sure its gapped at 20 thousandths. is your crossovertube in place. the 3' tube that goes inbetween carbs. choke off after warmup, all fuel lines in the right places and clamped tight. just double check all the obvious stuff before getting in too deep. AKheathen
........sync your carbs. then, adjust the airscrew to get even fire and adjust the idle screws to get even pressure. do a plug chop to check the mains.

Double checked all the obvious and checked carb sync. Was told by a local shop that it might be an issue with right side piston rings but I haven't took right bank apart yet. racerzippy
Just did a spark test and it is getting a bright blue spark and swapped wires and it still does it. I'm starting to think that I might have a compression issue. I will have to wait to borrow a compression tester to see if something isn't right on that jug assembly.
