T_Shee
you may try a stock cap first. is your water pump shaft in good shape? no grooves?

Larry's Shee
Couldn't find pressure spec in Clymers, but 22lbs. sounds kind of high. Excess pressure can cause all kinds of problems. A seal designed for say 15lbs might not hold 22. I've seen car radiators bow out on the sides from excess cap pressure. The only benifit from higher pressure is the coolant will boil at a higher temp.
mopar1rules
i believe the stock shee radiator cap is a 13psi. get rid of the 22psi cap.
