Anyway, what I need to know is what kinda prep work is required and what type of paint and clear coat to buy and how much to get? I know i need something flexible, jus dont kow what... Quote
95greenz28 Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 You can buy flex additive for regular car paint. I just sanded mine down and got it really smooth then sprayed it with fusion plastic paint. Then lightly wetsanded it again with 2000 and then cleared it with the same kind of clear. Just a though if you wanted to do it that way. Mine turned out really good and I havent had it flake or chip yet Quote

old roost Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 I just used the fusion plastic paint also, but wet sand wet sand wet sand before and after. alot of work but worth the effort. my plastic looked terrible ( white looked dirty even after washing) wet sanded and it looked brand new. I chose to paint my plastics black, shows every sand mark, so i just kept wet sanding and is comming out really nice. Quote
