fork Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 I just got done rebuilding my motor its a unported 350 fmf fattys uni filter +4 timing head milled 30 stock carbs my Q is I did a compression test and it is a 160lbs do I need to run race gas and I hear race gas wont make a fuel ring and some say it will the reson I ask is because I did a plug chop with a 330 main on race gas and I got real light 2mm ring O yeah elev. is 600ft Thanks Quote
black sunshine Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 So you did another one with pump gas and got a darker ring? You may need to jet a hair richer, sounds like you're ballpark. I run 160psi@900ft w/ +4 timing on premium, don't have any issues but it is somewhat of a cutoff point for higher octane. I have 360 mains with a ported stock cylinder motor. Quote
