cheeta Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 i am in the process of rebuilding my bike and i am thinking about adding a cool head and an adjustable timing plate(all i have now is pipes filter jets and boyesen reeds) will advancing the timing and the head make a noticable difference and if it will what size domes should i use? i have fmf gnarly pipes with powercore 2 silenceers and im at sea level Quote
zach45 Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 my bike now has basic bolt ons like yours and i run 20cc and the highest octane gas at the pump Quote
Wildcardracing Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 It will depend on your octane available at the pump, for 91-93 octane I wouldn't recommend any smaller than a 21cc dome for a stock port banshee at sea level. Both advancing the timing and increasing compression will add a noticeable amount of low to mid power and smooth out the power band a little. Quote
