checking crankcase oil

ok i got a stupid question to ask, when you check the oil do you just put the dipstick in without screwing it in or do u screw it in then screw it out to check it?

Screw it in to check.

 

But there is no oil in the crank case, only oil that goes through there is the oil you mix with your gas.

 

Transmission oil goes in the transmission/clutch and thats what your checking with that dipstick.

thats what i ment, dont have to be a smart ass and it is part if the crankcase because it is the case that houses the crankshaft

Again, the oil goes in your TRANS, NOT THE CRANK CASE, its separate!!!

he wasnt bein a smartass yo. just informing your ass wats goin on with your banshee. you know that you have to put the tire chuck on the valve stem to check tire psi correct?? im not being smart either lol :geek:

Per the factory owners manual, set the dipstick on top of the threads, DO NOT screw it in. The crankcase is a sealed seperate housing that gets it's oil from the oil in your premixed fuel, the dipstick is for transmission oil only.
